Saudade and Fado are the main interests for every Portuguese. The meaning of both words has his roots deep in the Portuguese history. Saudades means missing somebody or something , without the possibility to ever reach it. Fado is the melancholy music of Lisbon workers in the late 19th century. Today it is the mainstream music in allover Portugal. This images are an attempt to visualize Portuguese moods. All images are taken in July / August 2005.
